CONTEMPORARY ART IN MIAMI, 5-8 December
Art Basel will be bringing together a compilation of modern and contemporary artworks from North and South America, Europe, and Asia in Miami. In the main gallery of the exhibition that includes works by upcoming, new-generation artists, visitors will have a chance to see art ranging from painting to sculpture, installations to photography and film.
RACING CARS AT ESSEN, >8 December
This year, the Motor Show at Essen, the meeting place of automobile enthusiasts, will be dedicating a special place to car racing. At the exhibition, 15 racing cars, produced by different brands in different periods, will be on display. Many automobiles ranging from classic to modified, and custom production racing cars will be present at the Essen Motor Show, one of the world’s largest automobile exhibitions with more than 500 participants and almost 300,000 visitors.
DECEMBER CONCERTS IN MOZARTHAUS, >31 December
Mozarthaus, one of the most important classical music venues in Turkey, is getting ready to host a series of concerts in December. In memory of Mozart, the Kamerhan Turan Piano Recital, the Piano Masterclass, the Murad Abasov Piano Recital, and the New Year’s Concert await audiences in Ankara. In Mozarthaus, besides workshops, classical music concerts, and musical and soundtrack nights, jazz and ethnic music concerts are held every week throughout the year.
ELECTRONIC MUSIC ENTHUSIASTS MEET IN INDIA, 27-29 December
The Sunburn Festival organized in India is ranked as Asia’s biggest electronic music event. The festival held on Vagator Beach
in Goa is also the world’s third largest dance festival. At the event that brings together electronic, dance, and pop music lovers from 52 countries every year, musicians including Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas, and Like Mike take the stage.
TWO FEMALE ARTISTS FROM THE 16TH CENTURY, >2 February
The Prado Museum in Madrid is celebrating its 200th anniversary. As a part of this celebration, the museum is presenting the exhibition A Tale of Two Women Painters: Sofonisba Anguissola and Lavinia Fontana, which brings together the main works of Anguissola and Fontana, two important women artists of the second half of the 16th century.
A BREEZE OF ABSTRACT ART IN NEW YORK, >1 March
Works donated by collector and benefactor Patricia Phelps de Cisneros are on exhibition at the MoMA. While the exhibition Sur moderno: Journeys of Abstraction-The Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Gift testifies to the adventure of abstract and figurative art produced in the middle of the 19th century in Latin American countries including Brazil, Venezuela, and Uruguay, it also focuses on the styles of reproducing art objects and the role of art in the renewal of the social enviroment.
THE PHARAOH’S UNIQUE TREASURE IN EUROPE FOR THE LAST TIME, >3 May
For the 100th year of the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb and treasure, the works found in his tomb are on exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London. The exhibition is recognized as the richest display of the pharaoh’s treasures to date. When this exhibition that begins in November 2019, ends in May 2020, the 150 unique pieces will be returned to Egypt. This is one of the last chances to see these treasures in Europe!
MICE SECTOR COMES TOGETHER FOR THE SEVENTH TIME, 22-24 January
ACE of M.I.C.E Exhibition by Turkish Airlines, Congress, Meeting And Event Industry Exhibition will be held at the Istanbul Congress Center for the seventh time.
