Modern Art in Istanbul

One of the leading modern art galleries of Istanbul, Anna Laudel, is hosting the exhibitions of three artists who create with different materials and techniques: In the Shade of Time by Hayal Incedoğan, Selfie by Fırat Neziroğlu, and SYZYGY by Halil Vurucuoğlu. The exhibitions opened on November 26 and focus on a variety of complex topics from botanical science to a search for balances despite contrasts and the rediscovery of life.

A Bauhaus Exhibition in Madrid

The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum is joining the 100- year anniversary of the Bauhaus School that inspired an understanding of design and architecture by bringing together arts and artisanship with a special exhibition. Apart from visiting the permanent collection of Bauhaus works in the museum, visitors can take part in the educational program Vorkurs, which is inspired by the entrance lessons for the Bauhaus School.

An Exhibition of Canan Tolon’s Art in Istanbul

Istanbul Modern is hosting the exhibition of works by Canan Tolon entitled Sen Söyle (You Tell Me), which examines the relationship between nature and humans. At the exhibition curated by Levent Çalıkoğlu, Tolon’s unique and creative works from drawings to photography, painting to installations open up new horizons of thought in regards to nature, environment, architecture, and culture.

Islam’s Influence on Western Art

The works of European and North American artists who were inspired by the Islamic world will be on display at the British Museum. The artworks that were inspired by the East either in their subject matter or in their style are on display at the exhibition Inspired by the East. At the exhibition where one can see different works from paintings to decorative arts, jewelry to clothing and photography, the influence of the Middle East and North Africa appears to dominate.
