Welcome on board!

Turkish Airlines Named 5-Star Airline

This year, once again we are continuing to harvest the fruits of the exceptionaltravel experience we offer you, our dear guests. Turkish Airlines was named a 5-star airline for the third consecutive year at the APEX/IFSA (Airline Passenger Experience Association) Awards held in Los Angeles and attended by global travel experts. The awards were distributed based on passenger ratings in the categories of seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverages, in-flight entertainment, and Wi-Fi on approximately 1 million flights between July 2018 and June 2019 carried out by almost 600 airlines. I would like to thank all my colleagues who worked hard to achieve this success in your presence, our dear guests, who voted for us.

An Unobstructed Travel Experience

We continue to be a friendly airline for our guests with disabilities by committing to an unobstructed travel experience. Our boarding card, launched last year in Braille alphabet, was received with great appreciation. We took an important step for an unobstructed travel experience with this application, the first in the world, for our visually impaired guests. Currently, we are providing sign language training to our cabin crews so we can host our guests with hearing impairments even better, and aim to raise awareness among our crews. As a part of our new application, we are launching a priority baggage procedure at the airport for our passengers with disabilities who are registered with Turkish Airlines’ frequent flyer program Miles&Smiles. With this procedure, baggage boarded onto the aircraft with the “Priority” label will ensure that passengers with disabilities have a shorter waiting time at the baggage carousel at their destination terminal. We will continue to share with you, our dear guests, news of many improvements aimed at pleasing our passengers.

Your Safety Is Our Priority

As the Turkish Airlines family, our main priority is always offering you a safe and comfortable flight. As a part of the Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft (SAFA) program, we achieved major success by scoring 0.17 points, the best in our history, in the 102 safety inspections on our aircraft in the last 12 months carried out by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). In addition to our fleet that is increasing every day and our expanding flight network, this success is just one of the indications of the importance we give to flight safety. We continue to unite you with your loved ones by maintaining the sustainability of our SAFA ratings and ensuring quality and safety.

I would like to commemorate Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of our Republic, who passed away on November 10, 1938, with great respect. I would also like to extend my gratitude on Teachers’ Day, November 10, to our teachers who educate our new generations with great passion to enable them to advance the Republic founded by Atatürk to the highest level of

Have a nice flight!
