CONTEMPORARY ART IN BERLIN

In the second week of September, Berlin is the meeting point of contemporary art. During the art week, organized with the support of Berlin’s contemporary art museums, institutions, galleries, and exhibitions, visitors will have the chance to see the works of leading names from the global art world and to join various activities and discussions on art.

SHERMANS ILLUSIONS 

The National Portrait Gallery in London is hosting the retrospective of modern photographer and director Cindy Sherman. The exhibition brings together almost 150 works that Sherman produced from the mid-1970s to the present, including self-portraits that interact with the audience. Apart from photographs, visitors can also see her works inspired by fields such as film, advertising, and fashion.

MYSTERIOUS WORLD OF INSECTS

The exhibition at the 21_21 Design Sight Museum established by Japanese fashion designer Miyake Issey called Insects: Models for Design focuses on the close connection between nature and design. The event, organized by designer Taku Satoh and anatomist Takeshi Yoro, pays tribute to the mysterious world of insects that gives inspiration to architects, fashion designers, construction engineers, and artists.

A PHOTOGRAPHY FAIR IN SHANGHAI

Photofairs Shanghai, the most important photography event in the Asia-Pacific, presents art lovers with the variable and dynamic world of the art of photography ranging from classic masterpieces to modern installations. At the event, organized in collaboration with almost 50 art galleries from China and all over the world, visitors can witness the photography of the past and the present.
