Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling

This year, the historical Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling Competition, organized by Edirne City Council, celebrates its 658th year. The competition, aimed to continue the traditional Turkish sport of oil wrestling, is notable for its colorful images.     
Cycling Thrill between Countries 
The 106th Tour de France begins in Brussels on July 6. Comprising 21 laps, the race will end on the famous Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris on July 28. The cyclists from 22 teams will compete.  Cyclists from 22 teams will compete in this exciting event which will take place within the borders of Belgium and France.
A Festival on the Shores of the Black Sea
Held for the third time this year, Neversea Festival continues to leave its mark on summer in Europe. Being the biggest event on the shores of the Black Sea, the festival takes place in Constanta of Romania and the famous names of pop and electronic music such as DJ Snake, Alesso, and Afrojack take the stage.
Open-Air Cinema
This year celebrates the 5th annual Uniq Open Air Film Festival where cinephiles can watch important films from the last two years. The festival, opening on June 13 with Yorgos Lanthimos’s The Favorite, will also include significant films from Turkish and world cinema like Sibel, Border, and Burning.
