Zonguldak, a prominent port city of Turkey in the western Black Sea region, is connected to the world with Turkish Airlines.

Turkish Airlines included Zonguldak, famous for being the source and the port city of hard coal -once known as “black diamond’- to its flight network as its 50th domestic destination. Istanbul-Zonguldak flights, which started on May 12, are conducted three times a week.

Possessing natural beauties such as Harmankaya Waterfall, Ilıksu Hotsprings, Gökgöl, and Cennet and Cehennem (Heaven and Hell) Caves, and delicacies such as chestnuts and Ottoman strawberries, Zonguldak is known for its green nature and peerles views along the coast as well as the famed Devrek cane.

As the airline that flies to more countries than any other airline in the world and flies to more destinations than any other airline in Turkey, Turkish Airlines started Istanbul-Zonguldak-Istanbul flights on May 12. The 50th domestic destination of the national flag carrier to Zonguldak Airport (ONQ) is planned for three times a week.

Deputy Chairman and CEO of Turkish Airlines, Bilal Ekşi, regarding the start of Turkish Airlines flights to Zonguldak Airport (ONQ), stated, “We’ve included Zonguldak to the cities where Turkish Airlines flies. As the airline that flies to the most destinations in Turkey and in the world, we are proud and delighted to open the doors of the world to this beautiful city. And I already welcome our fellow citizens from Zonguldak, who will travel to all corners of the world through Istanbul Airport”.
