National swimmer and European Champion Paralympic Swimming Sümeyye Boyacı, for whom Turkish Airlines is the transport sponsor, won a gold medal in the 50-meter backstroke category and set a world championship as her next goal.

Sümeyye Boyacı, for whom Turkish Airlines is the transport sponsor, became the only athlete to represent Turkey at the Indianapolis World Paralympic Swimming Series in the United States. She attended the world series held between April 4 and 6. She partook in a total of five competitions including 50-meter backstroke, freestyle, butterfly, 100-meter freestyle, and 200-meter freestyle events.
Standing out with her outstanding performance, Boyacı ranked first in the 200-meter freestyle, second in the 100-meter freestyle, second in the 50-meter butterfly, and first in the 50-meter freestyle in her disability group, and fourth in the 200-meter freestyle in all disability groups.
Sümeyye Boyacı left her competitors behind in her main competitive category, the 50-meter backstroke category, and won the gold medal. Having won the gold medal by competing against 160 athletes from 19 countries, Boyacı now aims to become a world champion.
