Turkish Airlines began to operate flights to Çanakkale, its 51st domestic destination, on March 15.

Before the 104th Anniversary of the Victory of Çanakkale and the Commemoration of Martyrs on March 18, Turkish Airlines began to operate flights to Çanakkale which holds a dear place in Turkish and world history.
The first flight (TK2586) was operated with the aircraft Çanakkale and included a victory flight over Gallipoli which was broadcast on the national flag carrier’s YouTube channel.
Home to world-renowned historic landmarks such as Çanakkale Martyrs Monument, the Trojan Horse, the Mirrored Bazaar, City Museum, and the Clock Tower, Çanakkale is one of the most important destinations in Turkey.
Turkish Airlines Co. SVP, Sales (Domestic) Emre Menevşe gave a speech at the opening ceremony and said, “A new era began in Turkish aviation and tourism with the opening of Istanbul New Airport which was realized thanks to the vision of President H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. I hope that we will achieve even greater success as the national flag carrier. We’re also proud to connect Çanakkale, which has great significance in our history, to Istanbul and the world on the anniversary of its victory.”
