Organized for the first time last year and the world’s second biggest aviation event with more than 550,000 visitors, TEKNOFEST ISTANBUL Aerospace and Technology Festival will take place at Atatürk Airport between September 17 and 22, 2019.

Aiming to transform Turkey into a country that produces technology and organized under the theme “National Technology Effort,” TEKNOFEST ISTANBUL is held in collaboration with the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology, and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. It’s also supported by prominent technology companies, public organizations, and universities in Turkey.
Home to many events such as World Drone Cup, Travel Hackathon, and Flying Car Design Contest sponsored by Turkish Airlines, TEKNOFEST ISTANBUL not only opens new doors to high technology, aviation and aerospace for the youth and visitors, but also witnesses fun moments with jet planes, helicopters and acrobatic performances, concerts, a vertical wind tunnel, a planetarium, parachute jumps, and an exhibition of air vehicles.
Aiming to contribute to Turkey’s human resource in the fields of science and engineering, TEKNOFEST ISTANBUL will also host technology contests in 19 categories to support youth enterprises in regard to future technologies, offering a total money prize of over 2 million TRY.
