Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee M. İlker Aycı talked about the global carrier’s brand experience and goals at the Experience Exchange Conference hosted by the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy.
At the Experience Exchange Conference hosted by the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy for students and instructors, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee M. İlker Aycı said that Turkish Airlines stood out as Turkey’s strongest brand in the global arena thanks to its young fleet of 338 aircraft, the world’s widest flight network, and its magnificent passenger experience. “We not only increased our brand awareness but also became the most preferred airline,” Aycı declared and stated that Turkish Airlines completed 2018 by carrying 75 million passengers, enjoying three times the growth rate of the global aviation industry.
Aycı emphasized that Turkish Airlines has taken a leading position in Africa thanks to its steps in line with the Africa vision of President H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Aycı announced that Turkish Airlines will experience a new breakthrough with Istanbul Airport and that it is planning all its moves based on the idea of building the future with its global vision.
Aycı stated that Turkish Airlines is developing a strong brand personality by prioritizing making striking investments in the market and properly fulfilling the industry’s fundamental requirements in order to realize its leadership goals. Aycı also declared that the airline rose from 13th to 11th rank in the global number of passengers and to the top eight in cargo, and emphasized Turkish Airlines aims first to reach the fifth and then the third rank.
