Turkish Airlines accelerates the preparations at its new home by increasing the number of flights from Istanbul Airport. Beginning to operate flights to three domestic (Ankara, Izmir, Antalya) and two international destinations (Ercan-T.R.N.C. and Baku) after the opening ceremony on October 29, 2018, the national flag carrier increased the number of destinations to 18 in January. The carrier also started to operate Istanbul Airport-Ankara flights two times a day instead of one. After October 29, Turkish Airlines has added Kuwait (Kuwait), London (U.K.), Munich (Germany), Frankfurt (Germany), Moscow (Russia), Paris (France), Tbilisi (Georgia), and Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) to its international flights and Trabzon, Gaziantep, Hatay, Diyarbakır, Kayseri, and Adana to its domestic flights.
