Turkish Airlines and Hong Kong Airlines signed a codeshare agreement.

With this codeshare agreement signed in Istanbul, Turkish Airlines will provide access to locations such as Auckland, Bangkok, and Osaka through Hong Kong while Hong Kong Airlines will add important European destinations such as Istanbul, Paris, London, and Barcelona to its flight network.
As part of the agreement, Hong Kong Airlines will place its “HX” code on Turkish Airlines flights between Hong Kong and Istanbul as well as flights between Istanbul and certain major cities in Europe. Similarly, Turkish Airlines will add its “TK” code on Hong Kong Airlines flights from Hong Kong to Auckland, Bangkok, and Osaka. 
Turkish Airlines Deputy Chairman and CEO Bilal Ekşi also made a speech regarding the agreement and stated, “We are very pleased with the new codeshare agreement we signed with Hong Kong Airlines. This agreement will not only contribute to our existing commercial relations with Hong Kong Airlines but also offer Turkish Airlines passengers connections to new destinations beyond Hong Kong. As the natural and historical bridge between Asia and Europe, Istanbul will offer great opportunities in terms of the cultural and commercial relations between Istanbul and Hong Kong with the opening of the new airport in Istanbul.”
Hong Kong Airlines Vice Chairman and President Wang Liya said they signed the new agreement with enthusiasm and that the codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines opened up new and exciting travel destinations for Hong Kong Airlines passengers.
