Welcome

Welcome Letter

Dear Guests,
As the airline that flies to more countries than any other in the world, we continue to bring what’s far near. We’re happy to welcome you on another safe and comfortable flight.
Welcome on board!
New Home, New Excitement
As Turkish Airlines, we’ve crowned our growth graphic of the last 15 years with our occupancy rates, profitability, and contribution to the national economy in 2018. Our current flights from Istanbul to 304 destinations in 122 countries will be further increased with new flights operated from Istanbul Airport. The entire world excitedly awaited the opening of Istanbul Airport on October 29, the 95th anniversary of our republic, which began its service with an enthusiastic ceremony. We operated our first flight from Istanbul to Ankara from our new home on October 31.
New Privileges
Our flights from Istanbul Airport will continue with the addition of five destinations – Antalya, Izmir, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (Nicosia), and Azerbaijan (Baku) – besides Ankara by the end of this year. Our current flights from Atatürk Airport will continue until December 31. After the great “migration” to the new airport, we will preserve our title as the airline that flies to more countries than any other airline with new aircraft joining our fleet and frequency increases at our new home. You can also complete your check-in process and submit your baggage without waiting in line at check-in kiosks and self-service baggage drop-off units manufactured in Turkey.
Explore Istanbul
In this issue of Skylife, among many stories, you can read about Istanbul’s historic district of Karaköy. Passengers with a layover from 6 to 24 hours can also benefit from our Touristanbul service for fun explorations around the city.
I commemorate Head Teacher Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on the 80th anniversary of his passing and celebrate Teachers’ Day in honor of all teachers who have dedicated themselves to education.
Have a pleasant flight!
