Welcome on board!
Thanks to our esteemed guests who prefer us in their journeys, we’ve completed the first five months of the year with high occupancy rates. I’d like to thank you for flying with Turkish Airlines and wish that your journey of exploring the world continues with new exciting ventures. We invite you to travel to new places with 303 destinations after the addition of Krasnodar to our flight network in April.
Airports with the Highest Increase in Passengers
Istanbul Atatürk, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen, and Antalya Airports experienced the highest increase in number of passengers in Europe in the first three months of 2018. We’d like to thank you for the passenger increase in these airports to which we operate frequent flights as the flag-carrier airline.
We continue to welcome you in all phases of your journeys with the inspiration we draw from Turkish hospitality. We’re also meticulously making preparations for our new beginning at Istanbul New Airport which will add strength to our country’s aviation industry. As the airline that flies to more countries than any other in the world, we will continue to offer many privileges at our new home.
Turkish Airlines EuroLeague
Excitedly awaited by basketball fans all across the world, Turkish Airlines EuroLeague’s final game took place in Belgrade on May 20. I’d like to congratulate champion Real Madrid, and Fenerbahçe Doğuş Istanbul which completed the season in second place and made us proud. I’d also like to give sports fans the good news that we’ve already begun the preparations of the new season of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
We’d like to wish a pleasant experience to our guests who plan to watch the FIFA World Cup games live in Russia, reminding them that we operate direct flights to 10 cities in the host country. As the airline that flies to more countries than any other in the world, we will continue to support sports and present you with events in different branches.
We’re a Green Airline
We are aware of the responsibility to protect the world as we bring cultures together. We contribute to recycling by sorting more than 100 tons of waste every month. We strive to make our processes eco-friendlier each day. We’re revising our services with recyclable products by decreasing the use of plastics. In this issue of Skylife, you can read our stories about World Environment Day on June 5 and learn about Turkish Airlines’ activities in this regard.
Summer in Turkey
With the arrival of summer, all corners in our country turn into rich gardens with a harmony of different colors. As the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts bring you the peerless beauty of the sea and the sand, the cool highlands of the Black Sea offer irreplaceable opportunities in a verdant nature. Every corner of Anatolia repeats its invitation to culture enthusiasts with its historic heritage. We invite you to explore the beauties of Turkey this summer with the privilege of Turkish Airlines.
I’d like to wish a Happy Father’s Day to all fathers who inspire their children, and all of you a Happy Eid al-Fitr which deepens the feelings of love, respect and solidarity.
Have a pleasant flight!
