COMBINING HIS ENGINEERING EDUCATION WITH THE ART OF CALLIGRAPHY THAT HE’S PRACTISED FOR A LONG TIME, MOHAMMAD BOZORGI'S WORK REPRESENTS A CONTEMPORARY STYLE.

Born in Tehran in 1978, Mohammad Bozorgi has had an  unlikely educational background for an artist. After studying Biomedical Engineering and getting his MBA, Bozorgi skill lies in applying what he has learned in his academic life to his art. After working in traditional calligraphy – in divani, kufic and sols styles, he’s now focusing on innovative experiments through which he can make use of his experiences as a calligrapher.

Occupying  a special place among contemporary calligraphers, Bozorgi makes  abstract narrations through letters. His works have an architectural style, with dominant elements and themes such as geometry, motion and use of space.
