Welcome Aboard

Date: Sunday, 30 March 2014

Dear Guests,
The future of children in a shrinking world of dissolving borders is a joint concern not only of families and nations but of all mankind, because children are the heirs of the whole world and the architects of man’s future. Just as parents forge dreams for the future of their own children, so should the whole world be equally solicitous of the legacy they will leave their children by developing a joint perspective on the issue. A child in Sudan is as important and precious as a child in a rich northern country. If in future these two children are to meet up and accomplish great feats in a world that is becoming a global village thanks to shrinking distances, the way to this lies through the shared values we impart to them: wider opportunities, equality of opportunity, scientific education and values training.  The sacrifices we make for the child of another will also benefit our own child in the future. Concern and compassion for orphans, who occupy a prominent place in our world of values, are very important in this regard. Protecting orphans, raising them and ensuring that they become socially beneficial individuals are among our foremost responsibilities as adults.
